{"id":5129,"date":"2023-09-26T08:43:24","date_gmt":"2023-09-26T08:43:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.alfaisal.edu\/?p=5129"},"modified":"2023-09-26T08:43:24","modified_gmt":"2023-09-26T08:43:24","slug":"college-of-pharmacy-students-win-three-awards-in-the-3rd-saudi-society-of-clinical-pharmacy-sscp-annual-international-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.alfaisal.edu\/en\/college-of-pharmacy-students-win-three-awards-in-the-3rd-saudi-society-of-clinical-pharmacy-sscp-annual-international-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"College of Pharmacy Students Win Three Awards in the  3rd Saudi Society of Clinical Pharmacy (SSCP) Annual International Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In September 7 &#8211; 9, 2023, College of Pharmacy (COP) faculty member and students participated in the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> Saudi Society of Clinical Pharmacy (SSCP) Annual International Conference that was held in Crown Plaza, Riyadh.<\/p>\n<p>COP graduate, Dr. Areeg abumostafa won the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> place award for her participation in the National Pearls Competition- Professional Category (oral presentation) of a research project titled \u201cHoney and Honeybee products Interaction with Warfarin&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5131 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/news.alfaisal.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/002-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1036\" height=\"671\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A team of five COP students won the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place in the 1<sup>st<\/sup> Digital Transformation in Pharmacy Hackathon Organized by SSCP. The team members include Mayas Alnan, Batool Sharbek, Rahaf Yaseen, Rama Kharfan and Lana Daoud. The team participated under the name \u201ce-Pharm\u201d and secured the award for their project of \u201cSmart Refilling Platform\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, COP students, Mayas Alnan and Rahaf Yaseen, secured the 3<sup>rd<\/sup> place award in the Student Poster Category (Pharmacotherapy Theme) under the title of \u201cEfficacy and Safety of Omeprazole Continuous Infusion in Children with Gastrointestinal Bleeding\u201c. This project was supervised by Dr. Khalid Taher, Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at KFSH&amp;RC and Adjunct Assistant Professor at COP.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5132 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/news.alfaisal.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/003-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1036\" height=\"671\" \/><\/p>\n<p>SSCP is a Saudi association that deals with everything that concern the field of clinical pharmacy.
