The activation started with a primer on the history of antibiotics, emphasizing their importance in preventing disease complications and increasing life expectancy.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5356 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/news.alfaisal.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SSR03400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2500\" height=\"1667\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This was followed by an explanation of the types, mechanisms and side effects of antibiotics Lastly, students emphasized the risks associated with over prescription, overuse and misuse of antibiotics, explaining common differences between viral infections and bacterial infections.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5357 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/news.alfaisal.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/SSR03444.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"2500\" height=\"1667\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections and are ineffective against viral infections.
