At the 2024 Global Health Summit, Alfaisal University presented 21Verse, a metaverse platform designed to support individuals with Down syndrome and developed within the university\u2019s innovative ecosystem. This project, founded by Yousef Al Kusaibaity and guided by Noor Alsaadoun, Director of the Health Innovation and Biotech Center, highlights the university\u2019s dedication to empowering students to turn visionary ideas into practical solutions. The initiative aligns seamlessly with Saudi Arabia\u2019s Vision 2030, which emphasizes innovation, social inclusion, and advancements in health services.<\/p>\n

Showcased at the Global Health Exhibition on October 21-22 as part of the Authority for the Care of Persons with Disabilities (APD) booth, 21Verse drew interest from notable attendees, including representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), underscoring the growing recognition of Alfaisal University\u2019s role in creating meaningful health solutions with the potential for global application. Dr. Hisham Alhaidary, CEO of APD, commended 21Verse as a significant step forward in supporting individuals with disabilities highlighting the university\u2019s commitment to addressing critical needs through innovative, inclusive technology.<\/p>\n

The summit provided an opportunity to engage with leaders in health technology, laying the groundwork for future partnerships that could expand 21Verse beyond the local market. These discussions create pathways for broader collaboration and increased impact on global communities.<\/p>\n
