On Sunday the 1st of January 2017, Alfaisal University started off the new year with the opening ceremony for the National Committee for Combating Drugs (NEBRAS).
The opening ceremony was sponsored by University President Dr. Mohammed Alhayaza and the guest of honor was the Secretary General of the National Committee for Combating Drugs, Mr. Abdulelah Alsharif.
The topic of the gathering was Awareness Forum for Prevention in an Education Environment.
Public awareness is critical to combating the negative impact that drugs can wreck on both college students and their academic performance. NEBRAS presented an overview of the dangers and implications of drugs on both individuals and society as a whole, as well as, strategies for coping with this issue.
The forum started at 12:00 PM and ended at 2:00PM and was held in the Lecture Theater.
The NEBRAS Exhibition booth will be open on campus during the following dates and locations:
- 1-3 JAN 2017 on the 1st floor for males (near the food court)
- 4-5 JAN 2017 on the 2nd floor for females
