In September 7 – 9, 2023, College of Pharmacy (COP) faculty member and students participated in the 3rd Saudi Society of Clinical Pharmacy (SSCP) Annual International Conference that was held in Crown Plaza, Riyadh.
COP graduate, Dr. Areeg abumostafa won the 2nd place award for her participation in the National Pearls Competition- Professional Category (oral presentation) of a research project titled “Honey and Honeybee products Interaction with Warfarin”.
A team of five COP students won the 3rd place in the 1st Digital Transformation in Pharmacy Hackathon Organized by SSCP. The team members include Mayas Alnan, Batool Sharbek, Rahaf Yaseen, Rama Kharfan and Lana Daoud. The team participated under the name “e-Pharm” and secured the award for their project of “Smart Refilling Platform”.
Moreover, COP students, Mayas Alnan and Rahaf Yaseen, secured the 3rd place award in the Student Poster Category (Pharmacotherapy Theme) under the title of “Efficacy and Safety of Omeprazole Continuous Infusion in Children with Gastrointestinal Bleeding“. This project was supervised by Dr. Khalid Taher, Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at KFSH&RC and Adjunct Assistant Professor at COP.
SSCP is a Saudi association that deals with everything that concern the field of clinical pharmacy. The SSCP 3rd annual conference organized several activities in a three-day event including lectures, workshops, awards, business meeting, clinical peals competition, poster competition, exhibition, and Hackathon.
