Alfaisal University organized a research symposium titled “Developing Health Policies and Economics in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” on Saturday, February 15, 2025. The symposium aimed to discuss the latest developments in health policies and related economics, while shedding light on the challenges and opportunities facing the healthcare sector in the Kingdom.The event brought together a select group of researchers, experts, and healthcare decision-makers. Discussions focused on strategies to improve the quality of the healthcare system and promote the concept of “Smart Health,” in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The sessions covered various topics, including health policy development, enhancing the efficiency of healthcare spending, and fostering innovation in healthcare service delivery.
Participants emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between research institutions and decision-makers to achieve a qualitative leap in the healthcare sector, with a focus on sustainability and improving the quality of services provided to citizens. As part of the symposium’s activities, a research competition was announced for Master’s students in the fields of health policy and health economics. The competition aims to encourage young researchers to present innovative solutions that contribute to the development of the healthcare sector. Winners will be honored during a closing ceremony at the end of the month.This symposium is part of Al Faisal University’s ongoing efforts to support scientific research and drive development in vital sectors of the Kingdom, contributing to the ambitious goals of Vision 2030.
