The College of Business in collaboration with the Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East and sponsored by AlAhlia for Cooperative Insurance, delivered on May 1st the One Day Kaizen Management Workshop. The Kaizen Workshop was presented by the renowned Japanese Professor from Waseda Business School, Dr. Seiichi Fujita. The purpose of the workshop was to introduce the participants to Kaizen Management, 5s, JIT (just in time), Kanban, Poka-Yoke and SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies) principles, and their applications.
The workshop was attended by more than 150 Students from the Colleges of Business, and Engineering; and faculty and staff from throughout Alfaisal University. Additionally, the workshop was honored with the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Bander Bin Abdulaziz AL Saud, Dr. Abdulrahman AlOraini, Senior adviser to the minister of ICT and Director General of the National Plan for Communication and Information Technology, Mr. Abdullah Al Zahrani, Director of Total Quality in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and several other personalities from government and the private sector in Saudi Arabia.
The workshop was organized by Dr. Mario Ferrer, Dr. Ricardo Santa, Mr Talal Alsaman with the direction of the Dean of the College of Business, Dr. Bajis Dodin.
The feedback received from attendants was very positive and encouraging as the audience really appreciated the efforts of the College of Business in conducting a world class presentation of great benefit to the people of Saudi Arabia.
