Alfaisal University is proud to announce that it was ranked #10 in “The World’s Best Small Universities 2020”, by Times Higher Education.
To be eligible for the ranking, universities must appear in THE’s World University Rankings 2020, teach more than four subjects, and have fewer than 5,000 students.
Students at a dozen of the smaller universities gave THE an insight into their student life and what they like the best about studying in a smaller university. According to THE, Alfaisal achieved this ranking because of its small size, where students can benefit from an 11:1 student-to-staff ratio and compact teaching groups.
Earlier this year, the University topped the Times Higher Education Young University Ranking of 2020 in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Arab Region, and it is ranked 31st in the world for universities under 50 years old.
The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020 includes almost 1,400 universities across 92 countries, standing as the largest and most diverse university rankings ever to date.
The ranking is based on 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook. It is the only university ranking to be independently audited by professional services firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and trusted worldwide by students, teachers, governments and industry experts.
