June 1st, 2024: In a testament to the College of Pharmacy’s focus on research excellence, our Teaching Assistant, Dr. Doaa Adam (a pharmacy graduate), and a team of sixth-year students won second place in two categories during the recent 6th Innovative Insights on Hospital Pharmacy Practice (IHOP) Conference of 2024 which took place from May 30 – June 1st, 2024
The conference is a leading event for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry in the MENA region. IHOP 6 is organized by the General Administration of Pharmaceutical Care, Ministry of Health, Saudi Arabia. It encourages the participation of all pharmacy colleges in the Kingdom and the region, and all pharmacy professionals.
Our Winners are:
- Dr. Doaa Adam, our pharmacy graduate and current TA. She won second place in the pharmacy professionals’ research abstract category for “development and evaluation of sustained-release metformin hydrochloride for type 2 DM treatment.”
- A team of sixth-year students won second place in the students’ initiatives category for their “smart refilling platform.”
