Alfaisal University proudly served as an official academic partner in the Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad Lifestyle Medicine Hackathon 2025, held in Hail as part of the Hail International Lifestyle Medicine Conference. The event took place under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Hail Region, and was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Health along with senior officials from the Ministry of Health. Organized by the Ministry of Health – Hail Branch, the national innovation gathering attracted more than 400 participants from across Saudi Arabia.
As an official collaborator, Alfaisal University—through its Innovation & Biotech Center led by Dr. Noor Alsaadoun—played a significant role in the hackathon’s judging and mentorship activities. The hackathon addressed three key national health challenges: promoting healthy lifestyles, reducing dependency among the elderly and people with disabilities, and increasing life expectancy through innovation.
Alfaisal University was represented by several key entities, including the Dimensions Startup Studios, the Office of Research and Innovation, and the Medical Education Department. Together, these units delegated three distinguished experts—Eng. Maria Said Alomari, Dr. Ahmed Abuzaid, and Dr. Raed Alawi Albar—to serve as mentors and a final judge. These experts guided participating teams in developing innovative, technology-driven solutions aligned with the Vision 2030 health sector transformation goals.
In recognition of its impactful role in advancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and healthcare transformation, Alfaisal University was honored and awarded by His Excellency the Minister of Health and His Royal Highness the Governor of the Hail Region.
