Alfaisal University conducted the “ASCO DIRECT HIGHLIGHTS: IMMUNO-ONCOLOGY SUMMIT”, which was held on 30-31 March 2018, at Riyadh Marriott Hotel, Riyadh, KSA. This event is organized by Department of Oncology, MNGHA in collaboration with the University of Cincinnati’s Cancer Institute and Alfaisal University. Target Audience involved all health care professionals with interest in Cancer and Immune Therapies.
Immuno Oncology Summit (AIOS 2018) is an International Conference that focused on presenting and discussing the latest advances in cancer immunotherapy. The Summit offered participants a unique opportunity to learn about the latest advances in the field of Immunotherapy from basic sciences to bedside application. This year’s event has featured Pathology and Nursing workshops which was accredited with 5 CME Hours each, and will feature concurrent workshops.
Opening remarks and event introduction was introduced by Prof. Abdul Rahman Jazieh, MD, MPH, Chairman, Department of Oncology, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh, KSA and Prof. John Morris, MD, Professor, Division of Hematology-Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine, University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Certificates were received from Asco Direct Highlights and Alfaisal University, and this event which has gathered up to 200 health care professionals was accredited with 16 CME Hours from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
