The CoE organized the Building Information Modeling (BIM) Event at Alfaisal University on October 21, 2015 where we had over 100 attendees for the event. The event is organized into three seminars conducted by two international speakers from Saudi Oger Abu Dhabi, Winn W Gomez, BIM Manager at Oger International Abu Dhabi, and Amar Ashfaq, BIM Consultant at Oger International Abu Duabi. The first seminar was an Introduction to BIM by Winn W Gomez; the second was on Implementing BIM in a Project, by Amar Ashfaq; and the final seminar was on the use of BIM in Louvre Abu Dhabi which was presented by Winn W Gomez.
The CoE students and faculty had engaged in fruitful discussions on the use of this technology in enhancing the documentation of architectural systems.
Acting Dean of the College of Engineering, Dr. Nidal Nasser, said that “Having this event is one of our goals in the College to keep our students up-to-date with new technologies in the market and successfully used by the well-known international companies like Oger International.”
