Building on a Successful UNITAR–Ureka Participation, Dimensions Startup Studios Supports Alfaisal Students’ Selection for the 2026 Cohort

Geneva, Switzerland, April 2026: Alfaisal University proudly celebrates the selection and acceptance of outstanding students from the College of Medicine and the College of Engineering and Advanced Computing into the 2026 United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) – Ureka International Project Program.

This opportunity reflects the University’s commitment to developing globally minded innovators, entrepreneurs, and future leaders. Through Dimensions Startup Studios—the University’s hub for entrepreneurship, innovation, and design thinking—eligible students were identified and nominated through a competitive selection process aligned with Alfaisal’s vision for innovation, research excellence, and global engagement.

The UNITAR–Ureka Program is a prestigious UN-certified international experience that brings together talented students from around the world to address challenges linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants collaborate in diverse international teams to develop innovative, impact-driven solutions before concluding the program with an immersive experience in Geneva, Switzerland, where they engage with international organizations, explore global innovation ecosystems, and expand their professional networks.

Alfaisal University is sponsoring the participation of the selected students, providing them with valuable international exposure and opportunities to strengthen their leadership and innovation capabilities.

This success builds on the University’s growing presence within the UNITAR–Ureka Program. Deema Wael AlKattan, a senior student from the Architectural Engineering Department, successfully completed the April 2026 cohort, proudly representing the University on the international stage and demonstrating the caliber of Alfaisal students.

Building on this momentum, two additional Alfaisal students will join the July 2026 cohort, where they will collaborate with peers from around the world to develop innovative solutions to real-world challenges. The University extends its best wishes for their success and looks forward to following their journey and achievements.
