A group of students from the College of Business participated in the Innovation Challenge organized by the ASBAR World Forum and facilitated by the STEAM program at KAUST Entrepreneurship Center. The event was held at Riyadh’s Marriott hotel on November 15. It was a very intense nine hours ideation session which ended with three winning teams after a very rigorous business idea pitch process. The first prize (USD 1,000 / student) went to the team where Ms. Noura Al Tamimi (a CoB senior in Finance), and Mr. Mohammed Alkhelewy(a CoB junior in Operations & Project Management), while the second (USD 5000 /students) and third (USD 250 / student) prizes were awarded to the teams where Ms. Haifa Alamro (a CoB junior in Operations & Project Management ), and Mr. Abdulrahman Alghonaim (CoB junior in
Operations & Project Management). The teams were supported by Dr. Bajis Dodin and Dr. Mario Ferrer who were on hand for the competition.
