College of Business invited Dr. Anas Alghamri to be part of CoB’s Executive Lecture Series. Dr. Anas is the Talent Acquisition Manager at Alsafi Danon.
The lecture titled “Your Career, Your Life, Your Happiness” was presented to the audience and College of Business students. It took place on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in the Lecture Theatre (F) from 12:00 to 12:30 PM.
Dr. Anas started the lecture by talking about the importance of choosing the right path. Choosing the right path increases your chances of being happy with your life. Then he quoted “You can find your path by focusing on you NOT others”, so you should focus on your skills and competencies
Then he explains the role of the CV in finding the right job. He stated that the CV must be neat with zero spilling mistake. The CV is representing you; recruiter will spend between 5 to 10 seconds to scan it. Therefore, it must include your skills, degrees and achievement in an organized and proper template. After that he covered the interview part and candidates need to be prepared to create a good first impression. The time for the lecture was cut short due to Ramadan schedule.
The lecture is part of College of Business Executive Lecture Series. It provides Alfaisal University students and guests from the business community the opportunity to learn from some of the country’s leading executives and leaders as they talk about their experiences.
