October 1, 2020: College of Business invited Mr. Ali Al-Ballaa to be part of the college’s Lecture Series. Mr. Ali is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Saudi AZM Company and a board member in multiple technology and investment companies.
The lecture titled “Introduction of Fintech (Financial Technology)” was presented to the students of College of Business. The presentation took place on Wednesday, September 30th, 2020 in the Lecture Theatre. The lecture was delivered in the hybrid mode and over 100 students participated remotely.
Mr. Ali spoke about fintech which is short for financial technology. The term fintech includes a huge range of products technology and business models that are changing the financial services industry.
He encouraged that students to use their free time during their college life by taking a job or volunteering for a cause. This will benefit student’s career path after graduation. He also discussed how experiences, skills and activities during college life are important factors during job interviews.
The lecture is part of College of Business Executive Lecture Series to provide Alfaisal University students and guests from the business community the opportunity to learn from some of the country’s leading executives and leaders as they talk about their experiences. College of Business sponsors the weekly Executive Lecture Series to bridge the gap between the world of leadership and business education.
