With great pride, we are delighted to share the outstanding achievement of our COM graduate Dr. Omar Khdeir, an Internal Medicine PGY2 at East Carolina University in North Carolina, where he has won the 1st place in the biggest Internal Medicine knowledge-based competition: “The American College of Physicians Doctor’s Dilemma”! Dr. Omar was the captain of the North Carolina team, and with two of his colleagues, Swethaa Manickam and Alex Bradu, the team competed against all the training institutions in the United States, Canada, Central America, and the Caribbean. They won the first place and were awarded the Osler Cup securing their names in the history of the American College of Physicians.
