As part of the University’s commitment to social responsibility the MSA (Medical Student Association) conducted a visit from Down Syndrome school to have a fun day at Alfaisal, as part MSA effort to fulfil their social responsibility.
The Down Syndrome students were accompanied by their teachers, and engaged with MSA students in games at the gardens of the University and later had an indoor fun session.
The United Nations declared 21 of March to be The International Down Syndrome Day in 2012 and used the month of March to raise public awareness of this naturally occurring chromosomal arrangement that has always been a part of the human condition, existing in all regions across the globe and commonly resulting in variable effects on learning styles, physical characteristics or health.
