The province of Holguin, Cuba hosted the 4th Cuba-Canada International Symposium on the Heart from January 24 to 28, with the participation of more than one hundred renowned Cuban and foreign scientists. The event, held at Hotel Playa Pesquero, is considered among the most important meetings in Cuba in 2013, in the specialties of Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery and Research. The Symposium was organized by the V. I. Lenin hospital in Holguin, the provincial Health Department (Cuba), St-Boniface Hospital Research, and the Cuban Society of Cardiology.
Dr. Paul Ganguly (College of Medicine) was an invited speaker in this important meeting. His presentation entitled “Graduate Program: The new face of cardiovascular Sciences” was well received by the audience. The conference was attended by cardiologists and basic scientists working on Cardiovascular Sciences.
