The College of Engineering and Advanced Computing at Alfaisal University recently hosted His Excellency Eng. Ahmed bin Mohammed Alsuwaiyan, Governor of the Digital Government Authority, for an inspiring lecture on the role of technology and artificial intelligence in building the future.
Since May 2021, His Excellency has been at the forefront of Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation efforts, bringing over 20 years of experience in the communications, information technology, financial, and banking sectors.
During his lecture, His Excellency Eng. Ahmed Alsuwaiyan emphasized the significance of enhancing electronic services and cybersecurity, as well as the need to develop robust digital infrastructure to support the Kingdom’s digital transformation journey. He highlighted the critical role that innovation and modern technologies play in improving government efficiency and achieving digital sustainability, in alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The event concluded with an engaging discussion session, allowing attendees to interact with His Excellency and pose questions regarding the future of technology in the Kingdom.
