Mr. Chris Larsen, Executive Chairman of Ripple’s board of directors and co-founder of Ripple, gave a lecture titled “Internet of Value” to the students of College of Business. The presentation took place on Thursday, February 21, 2019.
Mr. Larsen started the lecture by giving an introduction to Ripple real-time gross settlement system, and insights into the future of money, commerce, and payments using disruptive technologies, like blockchain. Moreover, he discussed how banks, payment providers and digital asset exchanges process and provide liquidity for payments on RippleNet, creating new, competitive cross-border payments services for their customers.
Mr. Larsen then explained how Ripple connects banks and payment providers via RippleNet to provide one frictionless experience for sending and receiving money globally.
The lecture is part of College of Business Executive Lecture Series to provide Alfaisal University students and guests from the business community the opportunity to learn from some of the country’s leading executives as they talk about their careers and leadership experiences.
