Alfaisal University proudly moved up the ranking, from 10th to 9th place globally in the Times Higher Education (THE) World’s Best Small Universities 2021, tying with Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) from China that ranked 9th as well.
Times Higher Education hears directly from students at some of those small institutions about what they love most about attending a small college. Answers showed that a smaller educational institution ensures a better communication experience with peers and faculty, in addition to a strong sense of community.
This new ranking is a testimony of the University’s focus on its students and efforts to provide a supportive community that enables its members to excel and achieve their academic goals.
To be eligible for the ranking, universities must appear in THE’s World University Rankings 2021, teach more than four subjects, and have fewer than 5,000 students.
The average number of students at an institution in the 2021 world’s best small universities ranking was 3,197. Alfaisal University now has 3300 students from different nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
