The Alfaisal University Enrichment Program (AUEP) is a collection of interdisciplinary programs held at Alfaisal University each summer aiming to bridge the gap between high school and university, leave a lasting impact on student’s aptitude and achievements throughout their entire careers, and shape them into well-rounded individuals with versatile skills and knowledge.
This year, Alfaisal’s AUEP conducted two hugely successful cycles running from 30th June to 18th July and then 21st July to 8th August. These programs are designed using sophisticated pedagogical approaches and teaching strategies, maximizing on immersive, engaging, interactive and explorative methods to deliver learning outcomes. Between the two cycles, 263 young students between the ages of 13 – 17 years enrolled in one of the following programs:
- Aspiring Physician
- Artificial Intelligence Academy
- RoboGames Academy
- Cybersecurity and Ethical Hacking
- Brainers
- Metaverse and Innovation Camp
- Mastering English
- Art and Architecture Academy
- The Empowered Entrepreneur
- Intensive German A2 Course
Courses in a vast array of emerging fields of interest are offered, demystifying the road ahead for young students, providing hands on experiences and skills while aiding in decision making for their future careers. Marketing, problem solving, creativity, design principles, active writing, ideation, coding, circuit engineering and ethical hacking are just a few of the practical skills high-school students developed during the AUEP cycle.
The Enrichment Program is overseen by Dr. Dana Bakheet and her team, who take great care through every step of the process- tracking student progress, managing their needs and ensuring the program is an impactful and fulfilling experience for all involved. AUEP has been a valuable platform for cultivating the potential of our youth, with many young high schoolers returning to Alfaisal as volunteers or mentors the subsequent summers and even as full-time Alfaisal students.
