Alfaisal University had the privilege of welcoming a distinguished delegation from the Hevolution Foundation in a visit that sets the stage for transformative collaboration in longevity research and innovative healthcare initiatives. The visit, held May 6th 2025, marked a major step toward establishing a strategic, long-term partnership between the two forward-thinking institutions.
The Hevolution Foundation delegation was led by HRH Dr. Haya Alsaud, accompanied by Dr. Bashayer Almubarak, Dr. Youssof Mal, and Dr. Saira Khan. Representing Alfaisal University were Dr. Baraa Alghalyini, Vice Dean and Chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine, alongside Dr. Abdul Rehman Zia Zaidi, Dr. Matheus Goosen, Dr. Ahmed Magdi Abuzaid, Dr. Noor Asaad Alsaadoun, and Dr. Ovidiu Baltatu. The gathering reflected the mutual commitment of both institutions to advancing scientific excellence, translational research, and impact-driven innovation.
Alfaisal University delivered a detailed presentation outlining core institutional strengths, including rapidly expanding research portfolio, internal innovation grants program, and newly established core laboratories, emphasizing Alfaisal’s unique capacity for agile research mobilization, multidisciplinary approaches, and ongoing work in aging resilience, cardiometabolic health, and AI-driven health prediction.
The Hevolution Foundation showcased their global mission to extend healthy human lifespan through scientific advancement. As a non-profit organization, Hevolution operates across four pillars: a major grant funding program (supporting over 850 scientists globally), a biotech investment arm focused on high-risk innovation, a clinical programming branch dedicated to redefining aging metrics, and the Hevolution Research Institute (HRI), which centers on intrinsic capacity and resilience science.
Both institutions found deep alignment in areas such as aging biomarkers, translational research, biotechnology integration, postdoctoral and talent development, and global collaboration. The potential for Alfaisal University to serve as a satellite research hub for HRI in Saudi Arabia was a promising point of discussion.
The visit reaffirmed Alfaisal University’s position as a regional leader in research and innovation, and opened promising pathways for future scientific exchange, institutional growth, and global health impact in partnership with Hevolution Foundation
