On March 4, 2020, and through an interview with the “22” TV channel, Dr. Baraa Alghalyini has proudly shared the accomplishments of the College of Medicine, through the Family and Community Medicine Department, in fulfilling the social accountability mandate. The episode was about ” Social Accountability: future and challenges of Academic institutes.”
In the interview, Dr. Baraa shared an overview of the students-led “Health promotion Exhibition” annual event since its inception and then commented on a brief video clip of the latest Health Promotion Exhibition, which took place on December 12th. Moreover, the “Alfaisal Mini Med School Series,” the AMMSS, was mentioned as the newest initiative organized by the Family and Community Medicine in the alignment of Alfaisal University vision towards social accountability.
The episode nicely documented the great efforts of Masters students in the MPH program course “Social Determinants of Health.” The students did a fantastic job in preparing then representing Alfaisal University in a booth at the “National Day for Healthy Marriage” Feb23-25, 2020, at the Riyadh Park Mall. The end of the video-clip included interviews with 3 of the “Social Determinants of Health” MPH students.
