- Alfaisal University received the ‘Best Private Sector Green Garden Award” from the Ministry of Agriculture for this year, 2010. The event was celebrated under the patronage of H.R. H Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Saturday, 27 March in Horimela, 70Km north of Riyadh.
Presenting the awards at the ceremony was Prince Dr. AbdulAziz Al Meqren the Mayor of Riyadh, who handed over the award to Dr. Ronald Bulbulian. The main success and challenge was to keep a garden green at a construction site where buildings which are being completed with dust and cement in the air.
The decision was made based on a committee who had worked with Vice Provost for Accreditation and Quality Assurance; Dr. Ala Al Bakri on this.
Thanks and recognition goes to the continued efforts of Buro Happold, Saudi Gardens, and the Facilities Team at the University who have all played a role in the management, supervision and maintenance of our University landscape to keep it looking ‘Green’!
