The Community and Service Committee (CAS) at Alfaisal University is a student organization with the mission to provide students meaningful opportunities to serve their community, tapping into the humanitarian spirit to make a positive impact. Since 2012, CAS has been organizing biannual blood donation campaigns, raising awareness about the life-saving importance of donating blood and setting up on-campus donation drives.
This year’s Blood Donation Campaign, held in collaboration with King Abdulaziz Medical City, ran from October 6th to 10th and saw hundreds of donors participate. Donors could easily walk in and scan a bar code, and undergo an eligibility screening before donating. The CAS team also ensured their comfort and safety by arranging refreshments and snacks for the donors.
Blood donation is not only a vital life-saving gift to those in need but also contributes to the well-being of the donors themselves. Alfaisal University proudly commends the CAS team for their dedication and hard work in organizing such an impactful initiative. Their efforts continue to create a culture of compassion and service, making a meaningful difference in both the university and the broader community.
