The College of Business invited Mr. Muath to be part of CoB’s Executive Lecture Series.
Mr. Muath started his lecture by explaining what statistics and the importance is of gathering data within a country, especially in Saudi Arabia. He gave an insight into the methods used within the General Authority for Statistics to gather most of the information obtained, and he also touched upon the technological jump that had happened in the last few years to not only make the data gathering faster and easier but also more accurate (government apps, websites, linking the data of different government entities in one source)
Then he browsed through the General Authority for Statistics website and explained how and where to find different kinds of data, all gathered in Excel files and ready to be used and analyzed by individuals, companies, and researchers. Furthermore, he mentioned that if customized data is required, a user can request that from them directly.
The lecture is part of the College of Business Executive Lecture Series. It provides Alfaisal University students and guests from the business community the opportunity to learn from some of the country’s leading executives and leaders as they talk about their experiences.
