Dr. Baraa Alghalyini, Vice Dean of the College of Medicine and Chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine, recently took part in a community health initiative in Umluj. Invited as part of the Tadawy Health Society’s visiting consultant program, organized in collaboration with the Tabuk Health Assembly, Dr. Baraa Alghalyini actively contributed to promoting public health and wellness in the region.
On Wednesday, July 24th, she delivered a health awareness talk titled “How to Enjoy a Healthy and Safe Summer,” attended by local community members. The talk focused on practical tips for staying healthy during the summer months and emphasized the importance of preventive care.
In addition to the lecture, Dr. Baraa participated in an interview for the “Your Awareness in Minutes” program on Tuesday, July 23rd. The interview is available on the Tadawy Health Society’s YouTube channel, as part of a broader effort to raise health awareness through accessible media.
Dr. Baraa’s engagement in this program also included seeing patients at Umluj General Hospital on July 25th. She volunteered her time and expertise, providing direct care to the community, addressing their health concerns and promoting overall well-being.
This initiative aligns closely with Alfaisal University’s commitment to giving back to the community and advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) particularly in areas such as Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3) and Quality Education (SDG 4).
