A warm welcome to faculty and students The Convocation and Orientation on 20 September celebrated the start of the new academic year at Alfaisal. New students and faculty members received a warm welcome from our esteemed President, Dr Mohammed Al Hayaza, who described the growing reputation and stature of the university nationally and internationally. The Keynote speaker was Mr Samer Ibrahim Kurdi, Vice-Chairman at Sunbulah Group. Mr Samer is the first non-North American Global Chairman of the Entrepreneur’s Organisation, the world’s most influential community of entrepreneurs.
He is a member of the Board of Directors at Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, and a member of the Industrial Committee of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce among many other leadership roles in the economic life of KSA. Arwa Abdullah S Alanqary from the College of Engineering gave the student’s speech, and the Master of Ceremonies was Sara AlDhaher.
