On Wed. Oct. 2, 2024, the College of Engineering conducted a field trip visit to Hitachi Energy in Al-Kharj industrial zone in Riyadh let by Dr S. Guizani & Dr. M. Bahloul with engineering student from second- and third year.
The visit offered the students a unique opportunity to explore:
- Cutting-edge technologies in energy solutions,
- Energy Management Systems: Innovations that help industries optimize their energy consumption and reduce carbon footprints.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Information on projects aimed at reducing emissions and promoting sustainable energy practices. The experience typically included a guided tour of the Hitachi facilities, showcasing innovations in power grids, renewable energy systems, and smart technologies.
The visit was led by Eng. Hamad Al-Hamad (Talent Acquisition Country Manager Power Grids) and Eng. Ahmed Al-Robaish (Country Human Resource Director). Students were engaged with experts, learned about sustainability initiatives, and understood the critical role Hitachi Energy plays in shaping the future of energy. It was an insightful experience for anyone interested in the energy sector and technological advancements.
