Dr. Maha Al Saud, Governor of the American College of Physicians (ACP) in Saudi Arabia, discussed training standards for internal medicine specialists in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the annual ACP Internal Medicine Meeting in Washington on May 6.
This was the first time that the Saudi delegation was invited to participate in the conference. Five countries, including Saudi Arabia, had the honor of presenting during the Friday session, which was titled “Training Standards for International Medicine Around the World.”
In addition to her medical practice, Dr. Al Saud is the Vice President of External Relations at Alfaisal University in Riyadh. During her tenure, Dr. Al Saud created multiple committees to streamline women’s admission and improve their learning environment. As a leading advocate for the advancement of female education, she vigorously supported admitting women into the university.
