Canadian-American Pritzker Prize–winning architect Frank Gehry visited Alfaisal University on Wednesday 28th May, where he participated in an open discussion on “Architecture and Design”. The visit received a lot of interest from students and faculty of architectural engineering from across different universities, the engineering society and local and national architect and design firms. The event was well attended, as the renowned architect arrived on campus to a vivacious applause from the audience.
Based in Los Angeles, Frank Gehry is a renowned and internationally known architect. A number of his buildings, including his private residence, have become world renowned tourist attractions. He is known for postmodern designs, including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Dancing House in Prague, and the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain. Frank Gehry studied at the University of Southern California and Harvard University.
