As a part of the CoE lecture series, a seminar entitled “Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality” was conducted on 29th October from 12:00 – 13:00 by the Riyadh Metro project. The session is the first one out of nine lectures the Riyadh metro project is planning to deliver to the University.
The seminar was conducted by Eng. M Hamzeh Hassouneh, a Senior Quality Engineer / Lead Auditor from Riyadh Metro Project. The seminar series aim to share the knowledge and experience of Riyadh Metro design with College of Engineering at Alfaisal University.
The session started with a visual presentation on Metro Project progress. It comprised how the transportation on different lines were done, the tunneling, manufacturing of trains, managing the costs and different related aspects. The main focus of the lecture was the development of the Metro project “From Conceptual Design to Handover”. It covered different topics which were taken into consideration in order to make a project successful. In addition, the different stages of the project were discussed including the variety of training sessions, auditing and documents control and improvement tools. The presenter welcomed questions from the audience and most importantly they have shown interest in taking students from Al-Faisal for internships.
