Call for Papers for a Conference at the Universite Claude Bernard – Lyon 1 organized by a COB Faculty on Sharing Economy of Islam beyond Islamic Finance
In collaboration with a professor from Durham University, Dr.Necati Aydin from College of Business is organizing a mini-conference on on Sharing Economy of Islam beyond Islamic Finance , at the Universite Claude Bernard – Lyon 1 in France on June 29-July 1, 2017. The conference is part of annual meeting of SASE (Society for Advancement of Socio-economics) which was established in 1989 as an international, inter-disciplinary organization with members in over 50 countries on five continents. The theme of 29th SASE Annual Meeting is “What’s Next? Disruptive/Collaborative Economy or Business as Usual?” Dr.Aydin and Dr.Asutay are in charge of organizing a mini-conference with up to six panels on the following theme: “Sharing Economy of Islam beyond Islamic Finance: Reconstructing Collaborative and Disruptive Economy from Islamic Moral Economy Perspective”.
Dr.Aydin considers the conference as a great opportunity for our faculty members and graduate students. He is actively working with some students to prepare 2-3 joint papers for the conference. He urges everyone to spread the news about the conference. The conference team will select around 30 papers for the conference through the blind peer review process. The selected papers presented at the conference will be published in an edited volume through Edward Elgar publishing company in UK.

To submit an individual paper, you must include an abstract which should be no longer than 1000 words. The deadline for submitting proposals is February 3, 2017. Acceptance notifications will be sent by March 1, 2017. The submission of a full paper by May 12, 2017.
