May 2026: Alfaisal University introduced a new Sustainability Research Competition as part of its 17th Annual Research Day, expanding the annual Student Poster Competition to recognize research addressing sustainability challenges and opportunities.
The competition was launched through a collaboration between the Sustainability and Strategic Planning Office and the Office of Research and Innovation, and attracted more than 20 participants from across the University, presenting research that explored sustainability from diverse perspectives, including artificial intelligence, sustainable building design, biotechnology, and inclusive education.
Three projects were recognized for their contributions:

The introduction of the Sustainability Research Competition adds a new dimension to Alfaisal University’s Annual Research Day, providing students with a dedicated platform to demonstrate how research and innovation can contribute to more sustainable and inclusive solutions.
