Alsharaeh and student researcher Anoud Abdulrahman Alkhayal were recognized on December 18 for securing a United States patent (US 12,478,590 B2), officially issued on November 25, 2025, for a stable, multifunctional tri-nanocomposite designed to enhance precision cancer treatment.
The patented innovation integrates reduced graphene oxide nanosheets, superparamagnetic nanoparticles, and gold nanoparticles into a single structure that remains intact in the bloodstream, enabling targeted drug delivery, magnetic hyperthermia, and near-infrared laser therapy while minimizing damage to healthy tissue.
