August 20, 2026: The College of Engineering and Advanced Computing (COE&AC) at Alfaisal University successfully concluded the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Program 2026, bringing together undergraduate students from local and international universities for immersive research experience.
The eight-week program welcomed 53 participating students from 11 universities, including 49 students from seven local universities and 4 students from four international universities.
Participating local universities included Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, Saudi Electronic University, Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, Umm Al-Qura University, Al Yamamah University, Islamic University of Madinah, and King Abdulaziz University. International participants represented Aston University, University of Washington, Riphah International University, and The University of Edinburgh.
Students gained hands-on research experience through six research centers and labs: DaVinciAT Robotics in Architecture Research Center, Water Desalination and Energy Research Center, Computational Methods in Architecture Lab (CM-iTAD), Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center, Game Innovation Center, and Alfaisal X.
The program concluded with the SURE 2026 Final Poster Presentation on August 18, 2026, where students presented their research projects and findings.
The College congratulates all 53 participating students and extends its appreciation to the faculty members, researchers, laboratories, research centers, and staff who contributed to the success of the program.
