Dr. Qais Dirar won the third place award for the innovation “CORA” in the Digital Solutions for Building High-Value Health Systems in Latin America Hackathon
The hackathon had over 740 participants from 37 countries gathered to create innovative digital solutions for cancer and cardiovascular diseases. During the two-day event, they welcomed more than 200 participants in five cities and nearly 400 on Zoom. Dr Qais team was not only among the 80 teams presenting their pitches in the first round, but also made it to the top ten and won the third-place award for the Innovation CORA, an AI diagnostic tool based on the national database of patients’ health records in Costa Rica.
The hackathon awarded prizes to the winning teams, and offered us to join the Harvard HSIL Incubation Program, a six-month period in which teams will be provided with networking opportunities and support to develop a venture plan and an implementation strategy according to the country where the idea will be pursued with the support of our partner organizations and the co-hosts institutions.
