Medina, Saudi Arabia | February 11–12, 2026 — Dr. Noara AlHusseini, Chair of the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Public Health and Director of the Master of Public Health Program at Alfaisal University’s College of Medicine, participated in the First Saudi National Framework Symposium on Sexual Assault and Abuse Management, held under the Academic Affairs & Training Administration.
The symposium focused on advancing a unified national framework through multidisciplinary assessment and integrated policy approaches. Dr. AlHusseini delivered a presentation titled “From Policy to Practice: The Public Health Framework for National Guidelines on Sexual Abuse and Assault,” highlighting survivor-centered, practical models that bridge healthcare, forensic, legal, and protection sectors.
The CME-accredited symposium was organized by the Ministry of Health, the Forensic Medical Services Center, and the Saudi Society of Forensic Medicine, bringing together national stakeholders to strengthen coordination and evidence-based responses to sexual assault and abuse management in the Kingdom.
