The Alfaisal University College of Business is pleased to announce its new partnership with Harvard Business School’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness. This new partnership is formally titled the “Microeconomics of Competitiveness Affiliate Network Partnership”. Dr. Daniel W. Lund and Dr. Bruce Budd of the College of Business will travel to Boston this December to attend the Institute’s intensive Microeconomics of Competitiveness (MOC) Workshop. The workshop, created by Harvard Professor Michael Porter, is an annual event designed to train and authorize selected faculty from diverse business schools in how to deliver the Harvard Business School’s Microeconomics of Competitiveness course. The course explores the factors that determine economic competitiveness and effective development around the world from a ‘bottom-up’ microeconomic perspective. Dr. Lund and Dr. Budd are preparing to offer the course as a jointly-taught elective to Alfaisal MBA students in the Fall 2013 semester.
