On December 4, 2025, Alfaisal University’s College of Medicine hosted the 13th Annual Health Promotion Project (HPP) Exhibition, an academic initiative reflecting the university’s ongoing commitment to community health education and future-oriented medical training. This year’s theme, Back to the Future – A Healthy Saudi 2040, encouraged first-year medical students to examine current and emerging health challenges through scientifically grounded and creatively developed educational booths.
The exhibition was held under the support of Dr. Khaled Al-Kattan, Dean of the College of Medicine, whose continued guidance reinforces the College’s strategic focus on innovation, experiential learning, and public health advancement.
Organized by the Department of Family and Community Medicine, the exhibition aligns with national priorities outlined in Saudi Vision 2030, particularly those related to preventive health, digital transformation, and strengthening community resilience. It also supports international frameworks that emphasize population health and evidence-informed healthcare delivery.
Under the leadership of Dr. Baraa Alghalyini, Vice Dean and Chair of the Department, with mentorship provided by Dr. Abdul Rehman Zia Zaidi, and coordination by Dr. Racha Khaled, supported by teaching assistants and administrative teams, first-year medical students presented more than 50 interactive booths. These projects addressed topics spanning epidemiology, digital health, preventive medicine, behavioral health, risk mitigation, and the social determinants of health, translating complex concepts into accessible public-facing educational experiences.
Impact by the Numbers:
- Student Participation: More than 600 male and female students collaborated to bring these projects to life.
- Total Attendance: The event welcomed over 1,000 visitors, creating a vibrant hub for knowledge exchange.
- Interactive Projects: 50+ booths were showcased, translating complex medical concepts into accessible educational experiences.
The exhibition welcomed a diverse audience including faculty members, students, alumni, and healthcare professionals from across the university and the wider community.

A judging panel representing healthcare, public health, policy, and innovation sectors evaluated the student projects.
The event served as a dynamic platform for interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange, reinforcing Alfaisal University’s commitment to innovative medical education, leadership development, and public health promotion. By equipping students with practical skills and strong health advocacy foundations, the HPP continues to prepare future physicians to contribute meaningfully to healthcare advancement in the Kingdom
and beyond.

The Department of Family and Community Medicine extends its sincere appreciation to Dr. Khaled Al-Kattan, faculty, staff, students, partners, and volunteers whose collective efforts contributed to the success of the 13th Annual HPP Exhibition!
