In a significant collaboration, Alfaisal University has partnered with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to target social responsibility and sustainable goals. The agreement was formalized at the Social Responsibility Forum held at Alfaisal University on the 23rd of March with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by HRH Dr. Maha bint Mishari Al Saud, Vice President of External Relations and Advancement and Dr. Mubarak bin Muhammad Albogami, Director General of Social Responsibility at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
A key element of the collaborative agreement with the Ministry is the development of an MBA program in Social Responsibility and Sustainability at Alfaisal University. During the Global CSR Forum on October 27th, both parties announced that the MBA program is expected to launch in August 2025. As a forthcoming addition to the MBA specializations offered by the College of Business at Alfaisal University, the MBA in Social Responsibility and Sustainability is designed to prepare future leaders with the skills and knowledge necessary to integrate social responsibility and sustainability into their business practices and value framework. By equipping students with a strong foundation in these critical areas, the partnership aims to promote ethical decision-making and enable sustainable business models that benefit organizations and society at large.
The MOU underscores a commitment to activating and enhancing joint efforts between the Ministry and the university to build a robust culture of social responsibility within higher education. This reflects the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which emphasize the importance of sustainability and responsible practices across various sectors. Through this partnership, Alfaisal University continues to lead in shaping a future where businesses prioritize social responsibility and contribute to the well-being of their communities
