College of pharmacy (COP) held the first meeting for the university preparatory program UPP students under the name ”Meet and greet Pharm.D. Program “with the assistance of pharmacy student association PSA. The event started with an introductory talk about the Pharm.D. program with Dr. Manal Alem, Acting Dean- COP that covered: degree, program phases, and curriculum. Then Dr. Abdulrazag Aljazairi, Director of Pharmaceutical Care Division in King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre KFSH&RC spoke about the postgraduate and career options locally and internationally.
Finally, PSA President Fahad Al Fattuh talked about his experience after reaching his 5th year to the students, who were invited to ask questions related to the curriculum and career to COP staff during lunch. This gathering provide networking opportunities for our future students and leaders in the industry, clinical and academia. Moreover, it was an extremely valuable event for our current and future students as part of their professional development.
