Project Management Students Visited SEC to Learn its Strategic Transformation Program

Advanced project management students organized a field trip on 28th Dec 2014 to the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) power station in Kharj, the students were escorted by Dr. Mohammed Kafaji; the head of project management concentration. The students were exposed to the innovative approach adopted by SEC to implement its Strategic Transformation Program (STP) for strengthening their operational model with high effectiveness and efficiencies. A set of pillars, portfolios, programs and projects were initiated in alignment with SEC’s strategic plans. The implementation of the STP was managed via local program management office (PMO) using key performance indicators (KPI’s) monitored through centralized dashboards. At the end of the visit, the students were given a guided tour in the facility where the overall operational processes discussed and explained by qualified system operations manager.
