Alfaisal University conducted the “Prostate Cancer Preceptorship”, which was held on 25 March 2018, at Alfaisal University, Riyadh, KSA. Oncology Preceptorship Series is an educational activity offered by Alfaisal University College of Medicine in collaboration with regional and international experts in oncology field. It aims to review the latest advances in the management of Prostate Cancer, and to discuss the management of different cases.
Opening remarks and event introduction was introduced by Dr. Amin Eltigani, Consultant – Medical Oncology, Oncology Center, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Ministry of National Guard, Riyadh, KSA. This one-day event involved In-depth training for small group of health care professionals with empahsis on standard patient care based on evidence and practical case scenarios.
Target audience included multidisciplinary health care professionals with interest in prostate cancer including in-training physicians such as residents and fellows. Up to 50 Health care professionals, Oncologists, surgeons/urologists, pathologists, and radiation therapists with interest in the management of Urological malignancies have participated.
Special Topic Precpetorships involved Immuno-oncology, Supportive Oncology, Surgical Oncology, Cost Effectiveness in Oncology: Specific treatment of general, and Guideline Adpatation: Specific disease or general overview.
This event was accredited with 8 CME Hours, and Certificate of Attendance was offered from Alfaisal University.
