Seventy-five Operations and Project Management students from the College of Business were exclusively invited to attend the Global Logistics Forum 2024 in Riyadh, organized by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, from October 12 to October 14. This forum concentrated on the Kingdom’s current and future initiatives regarding supply chains and logistics infrastructure, gathering a diverse array of local and international experts to share insights and experiences aimed at shaping the future of logistics leadership. By promoting collaboration among key stakeholders, the forum sought to advance the logistics industry and transform global trade and supply chains. The forum provides a key platform for ecosystem partners to improve the efficiency, resilience, sustainability, and profitability of logistics in an increasingly interconnected world.
The Global Logistics Forum 2024 addressed the urgent need to rethink global logistics practices to overcome significant barriers and enhance collaboration within the sector. Positioned at the crossroads of three continents, Saudi Arabia enjoys a unique strategic location and a rapidly expanding logistics sector, making it an ideal setting for leading global discussions. The forum highlighted key logistics initiatives, achievements, and encouraged international investment in Saudi Arabia’s sector. Alongside Dr. Mario Ferrer, Dr. Rahma Lahyani, and Dr. Sirajul Islam, students were able to deepen their classroom knowledge.
