The College of Engineering and Advanced Computing at Alfaisal University proudly organized the Engineering Design Expo & 8th Boeing Engineering Student Competition on Sunday, May 10, 2026. The Awards Ceremony was held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Princess Haya Auditorium.
Sponsored by Boeing, the competition brought together undergraduate and graduate students from various engineering and computing disciplines to showcase their innovative projects, research, and technical solutions. The event provided students with the opportunity to present their work to faculty members, judges, industry representatives, advisory board members, and distinguished guests.
The event also featured the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with
Jadwaleen International Group, in addition to the recognition of ROSHN and Shell Eco-
marathon teams and collaborators for their achievements and contributions.
This year’s competition achieved record participation, with approximately 350 students
presenting 147 projects across Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and graduate programs including Master of Applied Artificial Intelligence (MAI) and Master of Engineering Management (MEM).

The Awards Ceremony recognized the top winning projects from each discipline. Winning teams received certificates and monetary prize awards
in recognition of their outstanding achievements, innovation, and technical excellence.
The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests and university leadership, including HRH Dr. Maha AlSaud, Vice President for External Relations; Mr. Asaad AlJomoai, President of Boeing Saudi Arabia and Member of the Board of Trustees of Alfaisal University; Prof. Mamdouh Alenzi, Head of the SDAIA Academy; Dr. Mohammad Anan, Dean of the College of Engineering and Advanced Computing; faculty members; industry representatives; and Students.
The ceremony also featured a keynote address delivered by Prof. Mamdouh Alenzi, Head of the SDAIA Academy. During his speech, he emphasized the importance of artificial intelligence, innovation, and emerging technologies in shaping the future of engineering and industry. He encouraged students to continue developing impactful solutions, strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration, and contributing to the Kingdom’s vision for technological advancement and digital transformation.
The Boeing Competition continues to serve as one of Alfaisal University’s leading platforms for promoting innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, research excellence, and industry engagement among students.
