September 16, 2025: Alfaisal University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AFAQ Energy (Sky Energy) to strengthen collaboration in renewable energy, scientific research, and sustainability initiatives. This strategic partnership reflects Alfaisal University’s commitment to driving innovation and supporting Saudi Vision 2030 by promoting clean energy solutions and sustainable development.
As part of the agreement, Alfaisal University and AFAQ Energy will establish a pilot research station to generate clean and renewable electricity while monitoring weather conditions using solar technology. The collaboration also includes the development of joint research programs, enhancing scientific output, and fostering innovation in the field of renewable energy in Saudi Arabia.
The partnership aims to equip students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience through specialized training programs in renewable energy, engineering, and curriculum development. By aligning academic projects with the labor market needs in Saudi Arabia, the initiative will also support national priorities in education, research, and industry integration.
