A group of College of Business students attended The Global Fintech Conference “Money 20/20”, held from September 15–17, 2025, at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Centre, in a trip organized by Dr. Adnan Abo Alhaija from the College of Business, who guided about 35 finance students to the conference on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

The conference was an important opportunity to explore the fast-growing fintech sector and its connection to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030
The event brought together global companies, local innovators, and regulators, highlighting the latest technologies shaping financial services. Exhibitors presented solutions such as AI-powered fraud detection, cryptocurrency platforms, Shariah-compliant financial tools, and advanced payment systems. Companies like STC Pay and Tamara impressed with their digital applications, while international leaders such as Mastercard and Visa showcased new approaches to secure and seamless transactions.
One of the main themes was Regulatory Technology (RegTech), with firms offering tools that simplify compliance and respond to the needs of the Saudi and Middle Eastern markets. Another strong focus was on financial inclusion, with innovative services designed to reach unbanked communities and support small businesses, reflecting fintech’s ability to drive broader economic participation.
In addition to technology, the conference created meaningful career opportunities. Students engaged directly with representatives from leading organizations, including Al Rajhi Bank, Alinma Bank, SNB, and Fintech Saudi, who shared details about internships, CO-OP programs, and the skills most valued in the industry. These interactions provided clarity on professional pathways and helped prepare students for upcoming applications.
The program also included thought-provoking sessions on Ethical AI, the evolution of personal finance, and the digital economy’s future. These discussions encouraged new ways of thinking about how finance is changing and the qualities required to succeed in it.
Overall, attending The Global Fintech Conference expanded knowledge, built professional networks, and offered inspiration for future careers in finance, making the experience both timely and impactful for all participants.
